Some studies conducted recently, advise that kiwi fruit is good for type 1 and type 2 diabetes. One of those researches suggest that kiwi fruit extract regulates the adipocyte differentiation which is associated with diabetes. Moreover, kiwi fruit can be consumed everyday without having to worry about insulin surge. It helps control the glucose level in the blood; kiwi can also replace snack foods with high sugar and fats as it is an extensively healthier low-sugar fruit.

How Kiwi is Good for Diabetics

1. A Low Sugar Fruit:

As diabetics must avoid glucose intake, they have to withdraw fruits too as most of the fruits contain high sugar content. Fortunately, kiwi fruit, which contains very low amount of fructose (monosaccharide sugar in fruits and honey), can be a handy choice for diabetics.

Every 100 grams of kiwi contain around 7 gram sugar which is a very low amount as compared to other fruits. In addition, kiwi 100 grams of kiwi flesh also contain 200 milligram vitamins which is also higher than other fruits.

Also kiwi fruit has Glycemic Index of 53 which is very low and hence another implication for being good for diabetics.

ذیا بیطس کے مریضوں کے لیے چونکہ گلوکوز اور چینی سے پرہیز لازمی ہے لِہٰذا وہ بہت سے پھل نہیں کھا سکتے کیونکہ پھلوں میں چینی کافی مقدار میں پائی جاتی ہے لیکن خوش قسمتی سے کیوی ایک ایسا پھل ہے جو نہ صِرف خوش ذائقہ ہے بلکہ اس کے اندر چینی بھی بہت کم مقدار میں پائی جاتی ہے اور یہ شوگر کے مریضوں کے لیے نہایت عمدہ پھل کے طور پہ دستیاب ہے۔کیوی کے ہر ١٠٠ گرام میں صرف ٧ گرام چینی پائی جاتی ہے جو دیگر پھلوں کے مقابلے میں بہت ہی معمولی مقدار ہے۔ مزید یہ کہ کیوی کے ہر ١٠٠ گرام میں ٢٠٠ ملی گرام وٹامن پائے جاتے ہیں جو دوسرے پھلوں کی نسبت بہت زیادہ ہیں۔کیوی کی جی آئی انڈیکس ٥٣ ہے جو اس پھل کا شوگر کے مریضوں کے لیے اچھا ہونے کی ایک اور علامت ہے۔

2. A Low-Fat Fruit

Kiwi is also a low-fat fruit. Low fat foods help control the weight which also helps maintain diabetes under control.

کیوی میں شوگر کی کم مقدار پائی جاتی ہے ۔ اس کے ساتھ ساتھ اس میں چکنائی (فیٹ) کی بھی بہت کم مقدار پائی جاتی ہے۔ کم چکنائی والی غذائیں وزن کم کرنے میں مددگار ہوتی ہیں اور وزن کا کم ہونا ذیابیطس کو کنٹرول کرنے کے لیے انتہائی اہم ہے۔

3. Kiwi Enhances Insulin Sensitivity

Kiwi is rich with Inositol which is essential for keeping diabetes under control. It enhances insulin sensitivity in the body which promotes glucose absorption into the cells that reduce sugar in the blood flowing through the body.
