FOR PUNUKULU
• Green gram 2 cups
• Salt as required
• Water for soaking
• Oil for deepfry
FOR MAKING CURRY
• Onions big 3
• Green chillies 5
• Chilli powder 1 1\2 spoon
• Salt as required
• Tamarind big lemon size
• Methi powder 1\4 spoon
• Turmeric powder 1\4 spoon
• Gingergarlic paste 1\2 spoon
How to make Punugulu Pulusu
METHOD:
1. First soak the green gram(pessarlu) in water for 4 hours minimum or u can soak overnight then grind it as thick paste using little bit of water and add salt .
2.Put oil for deep fry and take a spoon and with the help of spoon take green gram paste little and add in the oil it can be any shape it is up to u mostly we do round with hand directly pour into oil
3.After they get fried remove them and keep aside now punukulu were ready
FOR CURRY
1. heat oil in kadai after it get hot add onions (cut small pices normally) then add green chillies slitted then add methi powder and fry till onions are light brown .
2. Now add turmeric powder, chili powder, salt then add 2 big cups of water
and allow it to cook for 10 minutes in medium flame then add punukulu once they start observing water they become double in size add tamarind water and cook for 5 minutes and off the stove serve hot with roti or rice.Its very yummy.
