How to Make Afghani Kabab with Tomato Gravy

Ingredients:

  • Minced Meat: 1 kg

  • Ginger Garlic Powder: 2 tablespoons

  • Salt: as per taste

  • Crushed Black Pepper: 1 tablespoon

  • Onions (cut like omelete) 2 medium size

  • Tomatoes (boiled and ground): 1 kg

  • Cooking Oil: 1 cup

For Garnishing:

  • Green Chilies (finely chopped): as much you like

  • Green Coriander (finely chopped): as much you like

 

Method

Preparing Afghani Kababs:

  • Mix ginger garlic, onions, 1/2 tablespoon black pepper and salt with minced meat, mix well and knead.

  • Form elongated kababs and store in refrigerator for 15 minutes.

  • Slightly heat cooking oil in karahi or frying pan on medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes.

  • Add tomatoes, salt and 1/2 tablespoon black pepper and stir spoon for 3 to 4 minutes.

  • Put kababs in the pan and cook for 5 to 7 minutes at low heat and then remove from stove.

 

Presentation:
Sprinkle green chilies and coriander and serve hot with naans.

Tip:
Boil tomatoes slightly and blend to make its paste.
