Ingredients:

Tangzhong Ingredients:

  • Water or Milk: 1/2 cup
  • Corn Flour or All-Purpose Flour: 2 tbsp

Bread Ingredients:

  • All Purpose Flour: 2 cups
  • Yeast: 1 tbsp
  • Salt: 1 tsp
  • Sugar: 1 tsp
     

 

Method

Tangzhong Method:
  1. Mix corn flour or all purpose flour in hot water or milk.
  2. Mix well to avoid lumps formation.
  3. Cook the solution for 2 minutes.
  4. Add butter and cook until it becomes thick like a custard.
  5. Once thickened, turn stove off.
  6. Place aside in the room.

Bread Method:

  1. Add 2 cup all purpose flour in a bowl.
  2. Add salt, yeast and sugar.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Add tangzhong (room temperature cool).
  5. Knead like flour.
  6. Pack the kneaded dough in a Tiffin box and close tightly.
  7. Open the Tiffin after one hour; dough will be doubled in size.
  8. Flatten the dough with a rolling pin.
  9. Now fold the dough in a way that place one half of the dough on other half.
  10. Now place the bread dough in bread mold.
  11. Cover the mold with a plastic sheet tightly.
  12. Place it aside for 1/2 hour so it will increase its size more.
  13. Now remove the plastic sheet.
  14. Whisk an egg well and apply on the dough.
  15. Bake the bread dough in oven for 20 to 40 minutes at 200c.
  16. Bread is ready.


Tip:

Do not cut the bread into slices instantly but later 4 hours.
