Mirchon Ka Salan Recipe

In a pan heat 4 tbsp of oil and add 1/2 tsp of fenugreek seeds and 10-15 curry leaves .Fry until the contents of the pan begin to sizzle. Now add 1 cup of onion paste, 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste and saute. When the color starts to change and the aroma is given off add 300 grams of yogurt and mix well. Now add 1 tbsp of coriander powder, 1 tsp of poppy seeds, 1 tbsp of cumin powder, 2 tbsp of red chili powder, 4 tbsp of mustard seeds, 2 tbsp of grated coconut, 1 tbsp of crushed sesame seeds,4tbsp crushed peanuts and 1 tsp of turmeric powder. Mix well and fry till the oil forms a separate layer on top. In the end add 1/2 cup of tamarind paste, salt, 1/2 kg of green chilies and water as required. Cover and simmer for 5- 10minutes. Dish out and serve.
