Soak white lentils for half hour in water.

Mash Daal Dahi Bara Recipe in English
|
Ingredients: - White Lentil: 1/4 kg
- Yogurt: 1/2 kg
- Onion: 1 medium
- Ginger: 1 small slice
- White Cumin: 1 tsp
- Green Chilies: 3 to 4 pcs
- Salt: 1/2 tsp
- Sugar: as much required
- Oil: for frying
- Baking Powder (meetha soda): 2 pinches

Method: |
Preparing Dumplings:- Clean lentils and soak for half hour; move soaked lentil to strainer to remove water.
- Now grind lentils, onion, ginger, white cumin and green chillies together on batan or chopper.
- Add salt and baking powder (meetha soda) to the ground mixture and place aside for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry dumplings at low heat.
- Remove from pan when become brown in color.
Preparing Dahi Baray:- Beat yogurt well and add sugar accordingly. If yogurt is thicker than required, add water and beat well.
- Soak fried dumplings in warm water for 5 to 10 minutes; remove from water when soft.
- Wring water from dumplings by pressing between your palms and add to sweetened yogurt.
Maash daal dahi baray are ready to serve. - Tansfer in a bowl or dish and sprinkle chaat masala. Pour sweet chutney and enjoy delicious homemade dahi barey.

Cook water, tamarind and jaggery together well.

Once it is thick as required, sift using a sieve.

Ingredients: - Tamarind: 1/8 kg (125 grams)
- Sugar or Jaggery: 1/8 kg (125 grams)
- Water: 2 glasses

Method: |
- Add water, tamarind and jaggery to a pan and cook on medium heat.
- When jaggery and tamarind are cooked well and become thick, pass through a strainer to remove seeds.
- Delicious imli chatni is ready.
- Store in refrigerator in bottle or air tight container.
NOTE: Sugar can be used in place of jaggery and amount can be adjusted as per your wish.
