Daal Moong Masoor Recipe
Daal Moong Masoor is really healthy traditional cooking recipe. It is very easy to prepare and gives you unique taste of Vegetable Recipes
Masoor Dal: 1 cup
Moong Dal: 1/3 cup
Fresh Coriander Leaves: as much you like
Garlic Cloves: 2 Cloves
Green Chillies: as much you like
Ginger: 1 inch piece
Onion: as much you like
Salt: 1 tsp
Chillies: 1 tsp
Coriander Powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds: 1 tsp
Water: 5 cups
Wash lentils well.
Add Masoor and Moong daal to cooking pot with 5 cups of fresh Water.
Place the cooking pot on stove on medium flame until it is bOiled.
Crush Garlic Cloves and Ginger together.
Add crushed Garlic and Ginger to bOiled lentils.
Also add Salt, chillies, Coriander powder, Turmeric powder and Cumin seeds.
Cover the pan partially.
Keep stirring spoon intermittently.
Once dal begins to get thicker prepare tarka mixture:
i) Put little piece of onion, two Cloves of Garlic and Oil enough to soak them in a frying pan.
ii) Place on stove on low heat until they start turning brown.
In the meanwhile, check if lentil becomes thick and near to cook, add cut Green chillies and Coriander leaves.
iii) Once onion and Garlic nearly brown, add 1/2 tsp crushed Red chillies.
iv) Now pour the tarka mixture into lentil pan.
