Ingredients
1 ½ kg Carrots
1 ½ cup butter
1 ½ cup water
1 ½ can sweetened condensed milk
1-1 ½ cup full cream powder milk
7-8 green cardamom
How to make Gajer Ka Halwa

METHOD:

Wash and peel the carrots, remove both ends.

Now grate them in machine.......... or with hand grater.

Now partially melt butter and green cardamom in pressure cooker and give pressure to grated carrots with 1 ½ cup water for as long as you give pressure to the meat.

After cooker is cooled down, open and see the water will be reduced and shortly the butter will start separating as well, now roast the carrots well.

Now add sweetened condensed milk and mix it well.

There is no need to roast it too much at this stage bcoz when dry milk powder will be added it will absorb all the moisture and will turn into lumps like khoya.

There is no need to add sugar as sweetened condensed milk is added.

Now mix every thing well and roast it,when it appears shiny and butter appears to separate then it is ready, while cooking carrots will get darkened as well.

Now add peeled, sliced almonds as per desire and mix

Serve hot

IMPORTANT NOTES:

You can freeze it, before serving thaw it overnight and then heat it in microwave, it will be as good as fresh.
