• 8 oz. Patna or Basmati RIce
• ¾ pint (U.S 2 Cups) Water, Salted
• 2 Large Onions
• 4 oz Carrots
• 1 Small aborigine
• 1 green pepper
• 2 ripe Tomatoes
• 8 oz. Cauliflower
Oil for shallow frying
• 6 oz. Shelled peas
• ¼ Teaspoon Garam masala
• ¼ Teaspoon Saffron, Crushed
• ¼ Teaspoon chili powder
• 4 Cloves
• 1-inch Piece Cinnamon
Salt to taste
1. Wash the rice thoroughly under cold running water until the water runs clear.
2. Cover the rice with the water and par-boil. Drain and set aside.
3. Slice the onions, Carrots, aubergine and green pepper; quarter the tomatoes and simmer on a low heat for 15minutes. Add the aubergine, green pepper, tomatoes, Cauliflower, garam masala, Saffron, chilli powder, cloves & cinnamon.
4. Simmer for another 15 minutes or until all the vegetable are cooked. Season with salt.
5. Using a large casserole dish cover the bottom with half the cooked vegetables, then a layer of half the rice another layer of vegetable and rice topped with a last layer of vegetables.
6. Cover with foil and bake in a moderate oven (350 F Gas Mark 4) for 20 minutes.

Mixed Veggie Pulao is eagerly eaten in Pakistan, Bangladesh and India. Recipe starts from boiling rice, preparing the vegetables and spices and then mixing all and cooking. mix sabziyo ki dishes muje boht achi lagti hain. maine hamesha soup, pulao, salan sab cheezo me mix sabziyan istamal ki hain or muje uble huwe chawalo ke sath bhi tamam sabzi istamal karna acha lagta hai. is se taste boht acha ho jata hai.

vegetables are healthy and so I like eating them . I like their kababs, pakora, pulao, and every thing with vegetables. I prefer them always.

people always like and prefer biryani but I don't know why I always like pulao rice. Kabab pulao, yakhni and vegetable pulaos are my top choices. May be due to its low spice. What do you say? Do you have same food preference as of mine?

umm it looks very delicious and tasteful. I love the beautiful aroma of freshly cooked vegetables and when they are with rice, it is marvelous. I am looking at the recipe and finalizing the list of ingredients to make it for the dinner. my hubby would like it toooooo..
