Carrot Achar Recipe

Carrot Achar Recipe in English is an easy and traditional cooking recipe to prepare at home. It provides you an awesome taste of Achar Recipes.

1) Carrot 1/2 kg
2) Salt 1-1/2 tsp
3) Green chillies 15
4) White Vinegar 1 cup
5) Sugar 3 tbsp
6) Garlic 15-20 Cloves
7) Cauliflower 200 gms
8) Crushed Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
9) Crushed red chilli 1-1/2 tbsp
10) Oil 100 ml


How to make Carrot Achar



1.Scrape and slice the carrots lengthwise.
2. Cut cauliflowers in to medium pieces.
3. Now in a pot cook vinegar then add sugar cook it till melt.
4. Now remove from heat and add all spices and vegetables and toss to mix.
5. As soon as oil begins to smoke remove it from the heat and cool it for 5 minutes,then transfer in to a sterilized glass jar.
6. Consume this pickle after a few days and shake the jar two or three times daily.
7. Chef's tips:Wash all vegtables and drain the water, spread vegetables on a clean cloth or towel dry properly.

carrot achar is tasty but i don't know why people don't make it at home. I only ate it with halwa puri that I bought from nearby shop. However i have got the recipe now so after this i could enjoy it at home without buying halwa puri :).
