Preparing Baingan Bharta (Translated in English)


Ingredients:

  • Brinjals: 1/2 kg (round shape)
  • Salt: as per taste
  • Red Pepper Powder: 1 tbsp or as per taste
  • Onions: 2 large
  • Tomatoes: 3-4 medium
  • Green Coriander: 1/2 bunch
  • Green Chillies: 7-8 pcs
  • Oil: 5 tbsp
  • Garlic: 3-4 cloves (finely chopped)

 

Method

  1. Wash brinjals and bask on flame on the stove.
  2. When you see peel is fully burnt and brinjals are tender, let it cool and mash peeled brinjals with the help of spoon.
  3. Now heat oil in a frying pan and add onion, ginger and garlic and fry together.
  4. Once onions is fried to light golden brown color, add tomatoes and mix well.
  5. Then add salt and red pepper and roast all the spices until it is cooked and oil starts floating on top.
  6. Now add mashed brinjals and cok at low heat for 4-5 minutes.
  7. Now add chopped coriander and green chilies, mix them well and then remove from the stove.
  8. Tasteful baingan bharta is ready to serve.
  9. Enjoy with hot naan chapati.
