Soak almonds overnight in water and peel off in the morning.

Grind milk and almonds together.

Cook the mixture in frying pan; keep stirring spoon continuously.

Add yellow food coloring or saffron dissolved in water. Mix well.

Add ground pods of green cardamom.

To keep it from burning, keep moving the spoon unless milk is fully cooked and finished.

Once milk is finished, add sugar.

Mix sugar; once dissolved and it's water is dried, add ghee and roast.

Keep roasting until halwa tend to leave the pan.

How to Make Almond Halwa Recipe


Ingredients:

  • Almonds: 1 cup
  • Milk: 1/2 kg
  • Ghee: 1/2 cup
  • Sugar: 1 cup (or as per taste)
  • Saffron or Yellow Food Coloring: 1 pinch
  • Green Cardamom: 2 pcs (ground)

 

Method

  1. Soak almonds for whole night in water. Remove peel in the morning.
    Combine peeled almonds and milk and grind finely in a food grinder. Leave some almonds un-ground in form of chunks.
  2. Add this mixture to wok or fry pan and cook. Move spoon continuously.
    Dissolve yellow food coloring or saffron in 2 tablespoon water and add to the mixture. Add ground cardamom pods and mix well.
  3. Once milk is cooked and finished, add sugar and mix thoroughly. When sugar is dissolved, add ghee and mix well. To prevent it from burning, keep moving the ladle regularly.
  4. Once mixture is fully cooked and halwa becomes unsticky to the pan, and ghee starts appearing, remove it from pan.
  5. Remove in a dish, garnish with almonds and serve hot.
    Delicious Badam Halwa is ready to enjoy.
