Butter , softened 1 ½ cup
Sugar 2 cups
Eggs 5
All purpose flour 3 cups
Lemon juIce 1 tbsp
Lemon zest 1 tbsp
Vanilla Essence 1 tsp
White drink 1 cup
Salt 1/ 4 tsp
For glaze:
Lemon juIce 2 tbsp
Water 2 to 3 tbsp
Icing Sugar ¾ cup


How to make Lemon Lime Pound Cake



PRE HEAT OVEN TO 180 DEGREE C. beat butter at medium speed with a heavy duty electric stand mixture until creamy. Gradually add sugar; beat at medium speed 3 to 5 minutes or until light and fluffy.add egg 1 at a time beating just until blended after each addition. stir lemon zest and lemon juice and vanilla essence.
Add flour to a batter mixture with white drink, beginning and ending with flour. Beat at low speed just until blended. Pour batter in to greased and flour 10 inch bundt pan. bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until long wooden pick inserted in center of the cake comes out clean.
Spoon lemon glaze over warm room temperature cake. Top cake with thinly lemon slice .
